As usual for this time of year, the price of wood pellets in Germany rose by 2.1% in October. For 6 tons (t) purchases the price currently stands at EUR 247.17\/t. The price advantage of pellets compared to heating oil is 25.0 percent, compared to natural gas 21.7 percent.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"As expected, the price of pellets rose in October. This is a typical seasonal development, \"explains DEPV Managing Director Martin Bentele. \"Experienced pellet buyers know the typical curve over the course of the year and have already filled their warehouses or ordered bagged goods in the spring or summer, \" he said.<\/p>\n

The price for wood pellets varies from region to region in October 2019 (purchase amount 6 t): in central Germany pellets are the cheapest at 246.20 EUR t. Southern Germany is almost on par with 246.26 EUR \/ t. In northern and eastern Germany, pellets cost on average 249.85 EUR \/ t.<\/p>\n

Larger quantities (26 t) were traded in October 2019 under the following conditions: South: 230.98 EUR\/t, Center: 230.03 EUR\/t, North\/East: 232.95 EUR\/t (all incl. VAT).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
