{"id":78195,"date":"2019-09-30T08:03:11","date_gmt":"2019-09-30T08:03:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tin.happy-projects.ro\/us-hardwoods-face-weak-market-in-china\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T08:51:46","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T08:51:46","slug":"us-hardwoods-face-weak-market-in-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.timberindustrynews.com\/ro\/us-hardwoods-face-weak-market-in-china\/","title":{"rendered":"US hardwoods face weak market in China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>In September, the market trend of US hardwood still shows no obvious improvement in the Chinese market.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Some Chinese merchants said that although the popularity of the US hardwoods has rebounded recently, with exports such as ash, red oak and other market slightly increasing compared with the same period of last month, the business pressure is still huge, in part due to\u00a0huge inventories but also because of the trade war between the two countries.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Unprofitability has become the norm, many Chinese buyers complain.\u00a0<span id=\"more-21108\"><\/span>\"At the moment, I am not talking about how much money I can make, but I am thinking about how not to lose more money,\"\u00a0some merchants said.\u00a0At present, ash wood in Guangdong market, 2.15-3.05m long, 2 inches thick, FAS grade, is priced at 7000-7500 yuan\/m3 (984-1054 US$\/m3).<\/p>\n<p>American hardwood lumber exports totaled $484 million in China from January to April, a decline from the previous year.
