In Estonia prices for roundwood continued to decline in July.\u00a0Only pine sawlogs and hardwood could grow in comparison to June. Pine sawlogs have price of EUR 75\/m3, while spruce sawlogs are priced at EUR 61.40\/m3.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to pine, all the softwood assortments have decreased since the previous month, especially spruce, whose price has fallen by more than 8%.\u00a0The bark beetle crisis has apparently arrived in the Baltics. Moreover, in comparison to July 2018, all softwood sawlog and pulpwood assortments have decreased. Spruce prices are well below pine, while pine assortments are just slightly below the previous year's level, the spruce is 6-9% lower.<\/p>\n

In the case of pulpwood, the pine price has fallen by 11% in July. Both spruce and pine are around 30% below the previous year's level.\u00a0Hardwood logs also dropped in July, but are still just above the value of July 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
