As demand in South Korea is slowing down, Vietnamese wood pellets prices are falling relative to the rise seen this spring and are basically at the levels of the autumn 2018. Prices are expected to fall below\u00a0$130\/t.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Wood<\/span>\u00a0pellet prices in Vietnam, one of main wood pellet supplying countries in South-East Asia, soared since September last year due to booming purchase from South Korea.<\/p>\n

Thus, wood pellet prices in this spring balanced around US$145-148 per tonne FOB, US$40 up from September last year.<\/p>\n

However, at this summer, Korean purchase slowed down due to excessive inventories and the prices decreased. As a consequence, the Vietnamese wood pellets at the beginning this month are down to less than US$140.<\/p>\n

Present market is described as weak by analysts, with the prices around US$135\/t and the prices are expected to soon drop to less than $130\/t.<\/p>\n

PKS prices are holding at about US$80 per tonne FOB.<\/p>\n

Indonesian PKS prices are currently around US$108 per ton C&F. The prices vary by degree of removal of debris and by ocean freight depending of loading location.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
