Recently, the Russian Federal Government's Committee on Foreign Trade and Tariff Policy Protection Measures has submitted a proposal to stop the implementation of the birch log export quota system.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

In 2017 alone, China imported a total of 1.917 million cubic meters of birch logs, with an import value of 244.425 million US dollars. In December 2017 alone, it reached 203,000 cubic meters, of which 81.9% came from the Russian Federation, Russia. If the quota system is continued, the export of birch logs will be greatly reduced, and the supply in Russia will overflow.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade also believes that the continuous implementation of the birch log quota system is untimely, because the Russian producers now fully guarantee the demand of the Russian domestic market and the domestic market is saturated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
