Flooding in the Midwest and drenching storms moving through Texas and the Gulf Coast sapped consumption in those regions.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>While some key Western S-P-F prices posted modest gains, many other framing lumber prices continued to falter. Prices of OSB continued to erode, with downward pressure most severe in the South. Trading in Southern Pine plywood was muted amid a continued lack of buyer urgency and plentiful supplies. Recent trends in western Fir plywood persisted. Producers scrapped for every dollar, but opened to modest discounts to sell truckloads.
