Canfor Corporation announced that it has completed the first phase purchase of 49% of Elliott Sawmilling Co. Inc announced on November 9, 2018.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

According to the announcement, the balance will be acquired in one year.<\/p>\n

Elliott Sawmilling has a production capacity in excess of 210 million board feet and the sawmill consists of both large and small log lines.<\/p>\n

The purchase price of\u00a0US$110 million\u00a0represents a 4.3 times EBITDA multiple based on Elliott\u2019s twelve months trailing EBITDA. The transaction will be completed in two phases with 49% being acquired on closing and 51% being acquired one year later.<\/p>\n

Elliott has a production capacity in excess of 210 million board feet and the sawmill consists of both large and small log lines.<\/p>\n

Nash Elliott will continue as the General Manager after the transaction is completed. The purchase of Elliott will further expand Canfor\u2018s production capacity to meet the growing demand of its customers.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
