Following a favourable 2018 for the Norwegian forest industry, when a total of 10.7 million cubic metres of roundwood were cut for sale, the highest volume in 25 years, the first half of 2019 seems to continue this positive trend.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

After rising last year by about 16 percent, in January-March 2019, roundwood prices have picked up by 13.9% over the same quarter of last year. Pine and spruce sawlogs are more expensive in January-March 2019 by about 6.5% and 7.8% respectively as compared to the same quarter last year.<\/p>\n

Pulpwood assortments have become way more expensive over Q1\/2018 in the range 28-37%, with pine pulpwood prices increasing the most.<\/p>\n\n<\/colgroup>\n<\/colgroup>\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n\n<\/tfoot>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
