The European softwood lumber exports to China fell by -32% during January-December 2018, as compared to the\u00a0same period last year.<\/em><\/p>\n

The European Union countries sent only 2.3\u00a0 million m3 of softwood lumber to China, during the mentioned period, as compared to the\u00a03.4 million m3 that they've sent in 2017.<\/p>\n

The biggest exporter was Finland, although its shipments decreased by -38% as compared to January-December 2017. The country sent\u00a01 million m3 of softwood lumber to China, while Sweden and Germany came in second and third place\u00a0by sending 626 thousand m3 and 143 thousand m3 of softwood lumber to China during the mentioned period.<\/p>\n

The value of the European softwood lumber exports to China decreased by -29%, to EUR 420 million.<\/p>\n
