Resolute Forest Products Inc. plans curtailments in Q2 at several stud sawmills in Quebec and Ontario, citing log supply constraints.<\/p>\n

The production cutbacks will equate to some 30 million board ft. of lumber.<\/p>\n

A company spokesman said challenging winter weather conditions in addition to a very wet fall had slowed Resolute's woodlands operations and related transportation, impacting log supply for Q2.<\/p>\n

He added that the company did not expect any issues in\u00a0meeting customer commitments, and was making every effort to minimize impacts on employees and suppliers.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
