The price of wood pellets fell in Germany by 0.8 percent in March compared to the previous month. The average price per tonne is 267.73 \u20ac \/ t (for 6 tonnes purchases).<\/em><\/p>\n

Pellets hold their price advantage over fossil fuels at 18.9 percent over heating oil and 13.8 percent over natural gas.<\/p>\n

\"After a moderate winter, the price of wood pellets drops as expected at the beginning of the spring<\/em>,\" explains DEPV Managing Director Martin Bentele.\u00a0\"With their seasonal price history, pellets are cheaper in spring and summer than in the cold season.\u00a0We therefore recommend that consumers refill the warehouse directly after the heating season. \"Many pellet dealers will be launching warehousing campaigns at particularly favorable prices in the coming weeks<\/em>,\" Betele concluded.<\/p>\n

Regional prices<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the case of wood pellets, the following regional differences arise in March 2019 (6 t purchase volume): At a value of 263,72 EUR \/ t the cheapest pellets could be found in Central Germany.\u00a0In northern and eastern Germany one tonne of pellets costs 264.62 EUR, while in the south of the republic 269.27 EUR.<\/p>\n

Larger quantities (26 t) were traded in March 2019 under the following conditions: South: 254.22 EUR \/ t, Central: 245.10 EUR \/ t, North \/ East: 246.68 EUR \/ t (all incl. VAT).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
