The average price for a 6 tons (t) purchase quantity is now 260.81 \u20ac \/ t.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This is an increase of 2.5% on the previous month and 6.2% on the same month of the previous year. Pellets in Germany currently have a price advantage over heating oil of 24.4% and over natural gas of around 12%.<\/p>\n<p>On average in 2018, pellets cost \u20ac 247.39 \/ t, 3.15% more than in 2017.\u00a0In the same period, heating oil was 22.4% more expensive, so that the kilowatt hour in 2018 cost on average 6.99 ct \/ kWh.\u00a0Pellets thus keep their long-term price advantage for heating oil.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regional prices (purchase quantity 6 t):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Central Germany: 257.33 EUR \/ t.<\/p>\n<p>North and East Germany: 258,29 EUR \/ t<\/p>\n<p>Southern Germany: 262.24 EUR \/ t<\/p>\n<p><strong>Larger quantities (26 t):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>South: 247.71 EUR \/ t, Central: 239.92 EUR \/ t; North\/East: 239.26 EUR \/ t (all incl.
