In the third quarter of this year, Belarusian exporters sold 859,000 m\u00b3 of lumber worth US $ 93.7 million abroad. In terms of volume and value, this represents an increase of 44% or 71%.<\/em><\/p>\n

As a result, the increase in export volume was slightly lower than in the first (+ 78%) and second quarter (+ 51%).<\/p>\n

According to the Belarusian statistical authority Belstat, deliveries to EU countries increased by 49% to 753,000 m\u00b3 or by three percentage points to a share of 88%.<\/p>\n

Exports to Latvia (+64% to 176,000 m\u00b3), \u200b\u200bPoland (+94% to 62,000 m\u00b3) and the Netherlands (+83% to 55,000 m\u00b3) have increased at an above-average rate. Deliveries to Germany (+23% to 161,000 m\u00b3), \u200b\u200bLithuania (+41% to 162,000 m\u00b3) and Belgium (+38% to 58,000 m\u00b3) have underperformed.<\/p>\n

Cumulatively over the first nine months, 2.520 million m\u00b3 exceeded the previous year's figure by 56%. Deliveries to the EU have increased almost to the same extent to 2.144 million m\u00b3.
