Most of the exports to the world decreased, as compared to 2017.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Main export markets for the Swedish softwood lumber were\u00a0the\u00a0<strong>United Kingdom<\/strong>\u00a0and the Netherlands<span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\">,\u00a0<span class=\"hps\">followed by Norway and Denmark<\/span>.<\/span><span id=\"more-6267\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\">Yet,\u00a0<strong>exports to Egypt<\/strong>\u00a0dropped the most, by -28% over January-September 2017, down to a volume of\u00a0482,227 m3. Also, the exports to\u00a0China dropped sharply by -18%, down to a volume of\u00a0438,430 m3.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Swedish softwood lumber exports<\/strong>\u00a0increased to countries such as\u00a0the Netherlands (+7%) and Algeria (+157%).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Swedish lumber shipments to the European Union<\/strong>\u00a0countries were flat at 4.1 million m3\u00a0exported during January-September. The exports to North Africa increased by 4% over the corresponding period of 2017.
