US wood pellets exports to Europe have risen by 11% during the first nine months of 2018, as compared to the same period of 2017.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The UK is still the top importer for US wood pellets and its imports increased slightly 2% during January-September 2018, rising to 2.5 million tonnes.<\/p>\n

A surprising development could be noticed in Denmark. Danish imports of US pellets more than tripled in this period, surpassing Belgium as the second EU importer.<\/p>\n

At the same time,\u00a0Belgium's\u00a0wood pellets\u00a0imports from the US amounted to\u00a0292,321\u00a0tonnes, -19% less than in the previous year.<\/p>\n
