The European softwood lumber exports to China have decreased significantly during January-August 2018, as compared to the same period last year.<\/em><\/p>\n

In volume, the shipments went down by -24%, reaching a volume of\u00a01,547,702\u00a0m3, as compared to the\u00a02,028,616\u00a0m3 exported during Jan.-Aug. 2017.<\/p>\n

Finland was the biggest exporter, even if the shipments to China went -36% down, to\u00a0695,095\u00a0m3. Sweden and Netherlands came in second and third place, sending\u00a0438,430\u00a0m3 and\u00a0106,724\u00a0m3 of softwood lumber to China during the mentioned period.<\/p>\n
