According to the announcement, the pellet production ensures the full cycle process of processing the biomass of wood waste at the plant in Vologda.<\/em><span id=\"more-17971\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Sokol IWP is expected to produce from 100.000-120.000 thousand tons of pellets a year. The goal of the enterprise is to provide Russian consumers and customers in EU countries with biofuel for automated boiler houses and heating boilers in individual houses.<\/p>\n<p>With the pellet production line placed in operation, all of dry sawdust and wooden chips generated at the plant will be used to produce pressed granules \u2013 an inexpensive and high-quality kind of fuel.<\/p>\n<p>Segezha Group is completing creation of yet another pellet production plant, which will be included in the group of companies. The new plant will be located in Krasnoyarsk Krai, at the site of Lesosibirsky LDK No. 1 (Xylotech Sibir LLC). The total output volume in this project is much higher, at 70,000 tons of fuel pellets a year. The pellet-making enterprise in Siberia is expected to be launched in November 2018. In Karelia, as part of the third stage of modernization of Segezha PPM, the company plans to launch a multi-fuel boiler that uses biomass as fuel for production of steam for technological processes. The new equipment will use not only wood waste but also wastewater sludge as fuel. The new facility will complete the full cycle of wood processing. After this investment project is implemented, the total power capacity of Segezha PPM will amount to 400,000 tons of steam per hour, and will be enough to increase the volume of produced sack paper by another 110,000 tons a year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About\u00a0Segezha Group:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The company is one of the largest Russian forest industry holdings with the vertically integrated structure and a full cycle of logging and added-value wood processing.
