On July 17, 2018, Dmitry Medvedev, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, signed Regulation no. 836 \"On Introduction of Temporary Quantitative Limitation on Birch Veneer Logs Export from Russia to Non-Eurasian Economic Union States.\"<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

In accordance with the Federal Law \"On the Fundamentals of the State Regulation of Foreign Trade Activity\" and the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union of May 29, 2004, the Russian Government has established quantitative limitations (quota)on exports of birch veneer logs with the smallest cross-section diameter of no less than 15 cn and at least 1m long from Russia for the period from January 1st, 2019 to June 30, 2018. This raw material is determined by the Russian Government as \"essentially important for the domestic market.The volume of quota is set at the amount of 567,000 m3.<\/p>\n

Birch veneer logs exports will be carried out in accordance with the Rules of Quotas Allocation between exporters. Thus, the Rules set quotas to be allocated between exporters in proportion to birch logs volumes exported by each exporter in compliance with the export customs procedure from January 1st, 2014, to December 31st, 2016.<\/p>\n

The quota can be used under a one-time licence issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade according to the procedure established by the Rules for Licensing and Permitting Exports and (or) Imports of Good.<\/p>\n

The licence will be valid from January 1st, 2019 to June 30, 2019 (inclusive).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
