By autumn 2020, the Pfeifer Group plans to massively expand existing and new production facilities in Chanovice, Schlitz and Lauterbach.\u00a0Pfeifer takes about 100 million euros for this purpose.<\/em><\/p>\n

60 million euros will flow into the expansion of the site in Chanovice in the Czech Republic alone.\u00a0In 2016, Pfeifer took over the plant from the Haas Group.\u00a0<\/span>In 2017 and 2018, Pfeifer has already invested in a new sorting of sawn timber and the expansion of the biomass cogeneration plant and wood pellets production.\u00a0The core of the investment was also a first investment in the construction of a new formwork panel production worth 15 million euros.<\/p>\n

Shuttering panel capacity in Chanovice is doubled<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now the production capacity of currently 1.5 million m\u00b2 of shuttering panels is being expanded to 3 million m\u00b2.\u00a0The commissioning of the new plants is planned for autumn 2020.\u00a0The total annual production capacity will reach 8.5 million m\u00b2.\u00a0This will be accompanied by an expansion of the sawmill cutting capacity from 800,000 to 1 million cubic meters by 2020 and the expansion of pellet production to 120,000 tonnes.<\/p>\n

From 2019 CLT in view<\/strong><\/p>\n

Work is already in full swing on the construction of a CLT plant (CLT = Cross Laminated Timber) at the Schlitz plant in Germany.\u00a0From June 2019, 50,000 m\u00b3 of CLT will be produced there annually.\u00a0Full-scale operation - according to market demand - predicts a doubling of capacity to 100,000 m\u00b3.\u00a0Pfeifer will be the fifth largest CLT producer in Europe.\u00a025 million euros is the sum of the investments of the first expansion stage in Schlitz.<\/p>\n

Expansion of capacity of pallet block production in Lauterbach<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the same time, block production is being increased in neighboring Lauterbach.\u00a0The new production lines will produce 70,000 m\u00b3 in addition to the existing capacity of 180,000 m\u00b3 pallet blocks from autumn 2019 with four new block presses.\u00a0EUR 10 million will go into expansion here.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
