In June 2018, the prices for roundwood in Estonia are significantly higher as compared to the same month of 2018. The prices for pulpwood ranges are at record levels.<\/em><\/p>\n

During the mentioned period, the prices for sawlogs increased at an average of 17-33%. Thus, pine sawlogs could be bought for EUR 75.05\/m3, which is 17.69% more than in June 2017. At the same time, the price for spruce increased by 31.16%, to EUR 77.34\/m3.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of the year there have been several price increases for pulp. One of the main reasons for this development, apart from the generally high global demand, is obviously a change in Chinese environmental policy. China is no longer importing heavily colored or soiled waste paper, so China's fresh fiber needs have increased significantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
