Segezha\u00a0Group\u2019s subsidiary\u00a0Ksilotek-Siberia\u00a0\u00a0launched the first stage of a new pellet plant construction in\u00a0Russia.<\/em><\/p>\n

According to the announcement, the preparatory earthwork operations and stripping began on an area of more than 2 hectares before the assembling of piles and casing.<\/p>\n

The pellet plant construction planned to be launched in November 2018, will let to combine forest raw material resources as well as to ensure the waste disposal through converting them to biofuel pellets and heat energy. The capacity of the future production is 100 thousand tons of finished products per year.<\/p>\n

To ensure the project implementation,\u00a0SORB\u00a0LLC (the representative of the Estonian company AS\u00a0Hekotek\u00a0in Russia) signed the contract for supply of processing facilities for the wood pellets production plant. The equipment at the cost of more than EUR 6 million will be delivered to the site from the second decade of May to June 2018.<\/p>\n

Management Company Segezha Group\u00a0appointed Mikhail\u00a0Shamolin as President and Chairman of the Board on March 13, 2018.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Segezha Group\u00a0partnered with EUROCEMENT Group to introduce a new eco-friendly packaging to the cement industry.<\/p>\n

Segezha Group is one of the largest Russian forest industry holdings with the vertically integrated structure and a full cycle of logging and added-value wood processing.
