{"id":75700,"date":"2018-05-30T10:34:09","date_gmt":"2018-05-30T10:34:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tin.happy-projects.ro\/imports-sawnwood-china-grew-5-q12018\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T08:48:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T08:48:08","slug":"imports-sawnwood-china-grew-5-q12018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.timberindustrynews.com\/ro\/imports-sawnwood-china-grew-5-q12018\/","title":{"rendered":"Imports of sawnwood into China grew by 5% during Q1\/2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>China\u2019s sawnwood imports reached 8.29 million cubic metres in the first three months of 2018, up five per cent over the same period of 2017.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sawn hardwood imports rose 15 per cent to 2.91 million cubic metres.<\/p>\n<p>Of total sawn hardwood imports, sawnwood imports from tropical countries were 1.67 million cubic metres valued at US$662 million, up 25 per cent in volume and 32 per cent in value and accounted for 20 per cent of the national total.<\/p>\n<p>The average price for sawnwood imported from tropical countries was US$395 per cubic metre, down seven per cent from the same period of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Six tropical countries supplied just over 90 per cent of China\u2019s \u2018tropical\u2019 sawnwood requirements in the first three months of 2018 namely, Thailand (72%), Gabon (7%), Indonesia (5%), the Philippines (4%), Malaysia (4%) and Cameroon (2%).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>China\u2019s sawnwood imports reached 8.29 million cubic metres in the first three months of 2018, up five per cent over the same period of 2017.
