The opening of our state-of-the-art facility represents a significant milestone for our company and the industry. Congratulations and thanks to the entire project team on the delivery of the new \u2018high-tech\u2019 plant.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Lead-times for product from our New Zealand plant are currently at 16 weeks from the date of contract signing and upon receipt of suitable engineering and architectural details\/drawings. We have made a commitment to the Australian market that the new plant will offer the same great service to our Australian customers.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) \u2013 an engineered wood product comprised of wood boards laminated perpendicular to each other in three to nine layer panels.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>About\u00a0XLam:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The company is the first manufacturer of cross laminated timber in the Southern Hemisphere. It\u00a0was founded in New Zealand in 2010 by brothers Robin and Ian Jack.
