Producer prices for\u00a0wood products\u00a0in Germany registered uneven movements in January 2018. The great part of the products became a bit more expensive as compared to December.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

About one third have recorded prices drop.\u00a0Wood chips\u00a0gained the most in value (+1,52%), while\u00a0wider boards\u00a0(above 16 cm width) registered the most significant price drop (-0.99%).<\/span><\/p>\n

A similar picture can be noticed when compared with the previous year, but with bigger swings.\u00a0The largest price increase compared to January 2015 can be seen in\u00a0beech blocks\u00a0(+2,59%).<\/p>\n

This is followed by\u00a0hardwood lumber\u00a0(+1,17%) and\u00a0beech frames\u00a0(+0,98%). Thus, the hardwood lumber products have recorded the largest price increases over the previous year.<\/p>\n

The most significant price fall can be seen in\u00a0wood pellets\u00a0(-8,82%), followed by raw particleboard\u00a0(-5,91%). The indexes for wood materials, with the exception of decorative particleboard, shows no change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
