Egger\u00a0invests in a new short-cycle press at its\u00a0St. Johann mill\u00a0in\u00a0Austria. With the new equipment, the company plans to expand its production capacities to meet the constantly growing demand of its benchmark products with synchronized pore structures.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The commissioned press is scheduled to be installed at the Egger headquarters in St. Johann starting in August of 2018; the startup is expected for December 2018.<\/p>\n

According to the announcement, the company placed an order for KT700 machine with\u00a0Siempelkamp.\u00a0With a specific pressure of up to 700 N\/cm\u00b2, the KT700 can economically manufacture such innovative products as synchronized pore panels with decors that have a natural-looking embossed wood grain structure.<\/p>\n

Due to its multi-piston design the KT700 reduces the pressure-less exposure time to only 0.8 seconds, an absolute peak figure for laminating press technology customary in the market. The press closes with a maximum speed of 760 mm\/s; a total of 180 press cycles per hour are possible. Thanks to 40 press cylinders, the pressing force of 700 N is applied homogenously over the entire press area.<\/p>\n

In\u00a01H of FY2017\/2018 Egger\u00a0increased EBITDA margin to 16.8%.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Egger\u00a0took over the retail network Masisa Placacentro in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.<\/p>\n

The company is\u00a0one of the leading European groups\u00a0in the wood-based material industry.
