Russia has increased its exports of sawn timber during January and February 2017.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

According to the\u00a0statistics published by the Russian Federal Customs Office,\u00a0during the first two months of the current year Russia exported 2.335 million tonnes of sawn timber. That is 21.73% more than during the respective period of the last year.<\/p>\n

Also, the total value of the\u00a0exported Russian sawn timber increased during the mentioned period and amounted to\u00a0$483.6 million (up by 28.44%).\u00a0The Russian log exports increased as well, but their growth rate was much lower than that of sawn timber. Thus, the\u00a0Russian log exports came up to 2.92 million m3 and\u00a0increased by 1.15% y-o-y.<\/p>\n

The total value of the Russian logs exported in January-February 2017 reached\u00a0to $222.8 million, that is 13.26% more than during the respective period of 2016.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
