Austrian company Egger wants to invest near Biskupec, Poland, in the Warmia and Mazury Economic Zone\u00a0in a\u00a0large particleboard plant.<\/p>\n

The Polish government has issued this month a building a permit for Egger, and company has already completed all the preparatory work and\u00a0is ready to start construction of production halls.<\/p>\n

\"The planned investment is\u00a0 going to create 400 direct jobs and 600 indirect ones in subcontractors<\/em>,\" said Waldemar Zawi\u015blak, sales director of EGGER Polska, at a press conference.<\/p>\n

The construction\u00a0implies\u00a0an investment worth about one billion zlotys (EUR 232 million.The plant will be one of the the most modern sites in Europe, producing 650,000 cubic meters of particleboard\u00a0a year and\u00a0represents the largest investment in the Warmi\u0144sko-Mazurskiej-SEZ (WMSSE) region, which has suffered a high unemployment rate for years.<\/p>\n
