The price for wood pellets in Germany has decreased accordingly to the arrival of the warm season.\u00a0Thus, the price of EN plus wood pellets went down by -3.6% during April\u00a02017, as compared to March, reaching\u00a0EUR 246.08<\/span>\/tonne.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

As compared to the same period of 2016, the price is also 6.1% higher, while the price advantage over\u00a0natural gas and heating oil is just under 15%, according to the survey of the German Energy Wood and Pellet Association (DEPV).<\/p>\n

\"In the spring, the price of pellets generally decreases significantly,<\/em>\" explains Martin Bentele, CEO of the DEPV.<\/p>\n

Regional prices<\/strong><\/p>\n

During April\u00a02017, the price for wood pellets has the following\u00a0regional differences: in central\u00a0Germany the price was the most favorable, set at EUR 242.39\/t (for a\u00a06 t\u00a0purchase). In northern\u00a0Germany, the price is EUR 243.21\/t, while in southern Germany the 6 t amount costs EUR 248.38\/t.<\/p>\n

Larger quantities (26 t) were traded in April\u00a02017\u00a0in the following conditions: central Germany: EUR 228.72\/t; south: EUR 235.59\/t, north and east: EUR 228.73\/t. (all including VAT).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
