The production volumes of the Finnish plywood\u00a0industry declined y-o-y by 1.1%, reaching 1,140 million m3. A similar decrease was noticed in 2015, when the volumes reached 1,160 million m3.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Yet, the production volume is now stable, following the trend shown from 2009 to 2014, according\u00a0to figures published on 3 February by the Finnish Forest Industries Federation (FFIF).<\/p>\n

The production level reached in 2016 is still far from the record levels in 2006 (1,415 million m3) and 2007 (1,410 million m3), but considerably less that the 2008 level of 1,265 million m3.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Finnish plywood production in the fourth quarter of 2016 had shown sharp growth vis-\u00e0-vis the preceding quarters. At 310,000 m3, production was at its highest level since the first quarter of 2014, when it also reached 310,000 m3.<\/p>\n

Also, the\u00a0Finnish plywood industry produced more than 300,000 m3 only in a quarter of 2008.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
