Austrian company Hasslacher, has recently invested in Swedish company Valutec\u2019s two progressive kilns, for its laminated wood plant in Sachsenburg, K\u00e4rnten, Austria, as reported by Wood Business.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe need to increase the drying capacity and drying quality in terms of precision in the moisture content and reduced cracking. Valutec offered the best complete solution,\u201d said Michael Fercher, the technical manager at Hasslacher.<\/p>\n
The kilns from Valutec will be used to dry center cut timber as to reach a 12% final moisture content. The progressive kilns built by Hasslacher combine the high capacity with the quality that the company needs to dry the big packages that they own. They will be made out of stainless steel and will be equipped with pressure frames for minimal deformation of the top timber layer.<\/p>\n
