Revenue rose 5% to US$72.3 million, supported by a 13.1% increase in North American moulding sales volumes. EBITDA increased to US$3.6 million from US$2.6 million.

Higher sales did not translate into stronger gross profitability. Cost of sales increased 7.8% to US$67.6 million, outpacing revenue growth, while gross profit fell 23.3% to US$4.8 million. The company cited higher wood and petroleum-linked raw-material costs.

The quarterly comparison was less favourable than the year-on-year figures. EBITDA fell from US$4.8 million in Q2, while revenue eased from US$73.2 million. Based on rounded reported figures, the EBITDA margin declined to approximately 5.0%, from 6.6% in the preceding quarter.

Panels and related products, including mouldings, generated Q3 EBITDA of US$4.3 million, compared with US$3.1 million a year earlier. Lumber remained loss-making, with an EBITDA loss of US$0.8 million against US$0.5 million. The two businesses continued to show markedly different earnings performance.

Lower administrative expenses helped offset the weaker gross result. These expenses fell by US$2.6 million, partly through changes to internal service arrangements and expense recoveries from Venezuelan affiliates. A US$1.6 million improvement in foreign-exchange and indexation results also supported the narrower loss. Masisa’s consolidated results exclude its Venezuelan subsidiaries.

Supply conditions remained difficult. Masisa said rainfall was 25% above average, interrupting forestry operations and delaying ship departures. Its response included seeking wood supplies beyond its usual sourcing area and strengthening supply agreements. The company also reported earthquake-related disruption in Colombia during the quarter.

For January–September, revenue declined 0.9% to US$210.7 million and EBITDA fell to US$6.9 million from US$12.1 million. The attributable loss widened to US$23.1 million from US$14.0 million. Panels and related products delivered US$10.6 million of EBITDA, down from US$12.4 million; lumber’s EBITDA loss widened to US$3.7 million from US$0.3 million.

Nine-month panel and related-product volumes fell 4.7%, while lumber volumes decreased 3.6%. Secondary markets, including Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, Central America and Asia, recorded 11.5% volume growth. Panels and related products accounted for 87% of consolidated revenue.

Masisa reiterated its strategy of concentrating industrial capacity in Chile, developing higher-value products and expanding its US presence. This continues a plan described in its 2025 results. Its two Chilean industrial complexes have annual capacity of 877,000 m³ of panels, 275,000 m³ of mouldings and 210,000 m³ of lumber. Nine-month capital expenditure was US$4.8 million.

Financial debt stood at US$126.9 million at September 30, with 74.1% classified as short-term. Under the restructuring completed in January 2026, principal repayments were deferred until January 2027. Masisa reported compliance with covenants applicable at September-end; net-debt-to-EBITDA and leverage requirements resume with the December 2026 financial statements.

Masisa: quarterly financial results

US$ million.
