UFP Industries has agreed to buy the operating assets and real estate of Apache Products for approximately $27 million, adding a Texas manufacturing operation to its PalletOne network. The transaction is expected to close around 16 November 2026.<\/p>\n

Based in Silsbee and trading as Acme Skid, Apache manufactures stringer and heat-treated pallets. The business has approximately $55 million in annual sales and employs 165 people. Its plant will join UFP Packaging, expanding the division\u2019s production capacity along the Gulf Coast.<\/p>\n

The acquisition gives UFP a larger manufacturing presence near the petrochemical and industrial customers concentrated in Texas and Louisiana. Apache brings an established customer base and an experienced workforce, allowing UFP to expand through an existing operation rather than build a new facility. UFP Packaging president Scott Worthington identified the region\u2019s industrial activity and demand for reliable pallet supply as reasons for the investment.<\/p>\n

UFP plans to integrate Apache into its wider purchasing, production and sales network while retaining the local expertise behind its customer relationships. The company also expects opportunities to supply Apache\u2019s customers with a broader range of industrial packaging.<\/p>\n

At the disclosed figures, the purchase price represents approximately half of Apache\u2019s annual revenue. UFP has not disclosed the business\u2019s earnings, so the sales figure alone does not establish the acquisition\u2019s profitability or expected return.<\/p>\n
