Export value declined 12.1% to EUR 1.05 billion, according to Eurostat Comext data.<\/p>\n<p>Spruce accounted for about two-thirds of the volume. Shipments fell 13.9% to 2.56 million m\u00b3, while their value dropped 16.4% to EUR 657.1 million. Pine exports decreased 16.1% to 1.24 million m\u00b3, although export value fell by a smaller 4.1% to EUR 397.6 million.<\/p>\n<p>Sweden remained the largest EU supplier. Its shipments declined 7.9% to 1.68 million m\u00b3, while export earnings fell 12.7% to EUR 502.5 million. The country accounted for 47.6% of EU export value, compared with 47.9% a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Finland\u2019s shipments fell 15.5% to 501,304 m\u00b3, with export value down 16.6% to EUR 139.2 million. Latvia recorded a smaller decline: volumes decreased 5.7% to 429,884 m\u00b3 and value fell 7.6% to EUR 134.7 million. Latvia\u2019s share of EU export earnings consequently increased from 12.1% to 12.8%.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalwoodmarketsinfo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/EU_UK.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ireland shipped 396,319 m\u00b3, down 13.7%, while export value declined 9.8% to EUR 107.4 million. Sweden, Finland, Latvia and Ireland together accounted for 83.8% of the EU total by value.<\/p>\n<p>German shipments dropped 18.2% to 218,172 m\u00b3, with earnings down 16.0% to EUR 71.5 million. Austria recorded a different pattern: volumes fell 3.6% to 52,523 m\u00b3, but export value increased 7.0% to EUR 19.3 million.<\/p>\n<p>August brought a further year-on-year decline.
