The competition authority has given the green light to the sale of Pölkky Oy, the largest private wood processor in northern Finland, to the Austrian company Pfeifer Holding. Thus, the deal made in December has been confirmed. The parties to the transaction have agreed that the purchase price will not be disclosed. Thanks to the acquisition, the Pfeifer Group’s number of employees rises to some 2,600 in four countries.
