Mood in the German sawmill industry remains gloomy as demand in construction industry is poor
The assessment of the current situation in the German wood industry fell significantly in October to -29.9 points (previous month: -22.1 points). The outlook for the next six months, however, brightened significantly; the current value was recently at -33 points (previous month: -40.3 points). Overall, the The Main Association of the German Wood Industry (HDH) economic indicator remained unchanged at –31.5 points in October (previous month: –31.5 points).
