The situation on the Latvian lumber market in 2021 was dictated by price increases, reaching historically the highest prices for pine and spruce trees. Considering the geopolitical situation at the start of the year, the price rise are expected to continue because anti-Russian sanctions play a major role.  Last year the demand for mortgage loans increased in the EU.
