The average purchase price of softwood logs in Latvia edged higher in the second half of 2024, while prices for hardwood logs declined, according to data from the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB). Pine sawlogs with a diameter up to 14 cm posted the strongest increase among softwoods, rising 10% from the first half of the year to €81.4 per cubic meter (excluding VAT).
