HS Timber Group is upgrading drying operations at its Luvian Saha sawmill in Luvia, Finland, with the installation of an FB tunnel dryer from Swedish manufacturer Valutec. The project, set to begin in early summer 2025, includes modernization of three existing continuous kilns and implementation of Valutec’s control system, Valmatics 4.0. Commissioning is scheduled for autumn 2025. The new generation of continuous kilns is designed to enhance drying capacity while maintaining efficiency and quality comparable to batch kilns.
