Finnish lumber exports down by -30%
In January-March, the value of Finland's forest industry exports fell by almost a quarter year-on-year to EUR 2.5 billion. In the wood products industry, the value of exports fell by more than a quarter to EUR 530 million: the value of lumber exports fell by 30 per cent and plywood by 37 per cent. The volume of lumber exports decreased by about 600,000 cubic meters to 1.8 million cubic meters. The value of the Finnish forest industry exports dropped in March.
