Timber prices in Finland surged to historic levels in April, with log and pulpwood prices rising sharply on strong demand and limited supply. According to monthly data, standing sales prices for logs reached levels not seen since the 2007–2008 market peak, while pulpwood prices set all-time records. In standing sales, the average price paid for spruce logs was nearly €85 per cubic metre, while pine logs fetched almost €83.
