CFR prices for logs in China expected to rise due to dropping freight rates and reduced NZ supply
The average price for logs in China has dropped about 30 USD per m3 (17%) in November. The price is still highly variable with some exporters achieving sales for A grade logs at 150 USD while others are 140 USD per m3. Although the China log market remains subdued, prices should increase in December due to ocean freight costs dropping 35% in the last month.
