While investment decisions across Europe's wood products sector remain cautious after two difficult years for construction, Latvian birch plywood manufacturer Latvijas Finieris is pursuing an expansion programme that stands apart from most of the industry. Between 2023 and 2027, the company plans to invest more than €400 million in new production assets, advanced manufacturing technologies and research projects intended to move the business further away from commodity markets and deeper into specialised industrial applications.
