Norway’s timber prices and harvesting hit record highs
Norway's timber industry reached new heights in the second quarter of 2025, with record volumes of harvesting and soaring timber prices, according to fresh figures from Statistics Norway. A total of 3.48 million cubic meters of industrial timber was harvested, marking the highest volume ever recorded in a single quarter. The total harvest volume, including roundwood for energy chips and scrap timber, reached an impressive 3.65 million cubic meters.
