Profura Development has reached an agreement to reacquire Green Wood Sverige AB, including its subsidiaries Balungstrands Sågverk and Bäckebrons Sågverk. The acquisition, which is pending approval from the Swedish Competition Authority, marks Profura’s return to the Swedish sawmills it sold to Ziegler Group in 2022. When Profura initially sold Green Wood Sverige, the deal was part of an expansion strategy by the German Ziegler Group, which sought to strengthen its position in the Scandinavian market.
