A highly advanced veneer plant located in Falkenhagen, Germany, is closing its doors. Operated by  R. Ulrich and Co., the closure affects 85 employees who have received termination notices just weeks before the year’s end. The announcement from R. Ulrich and Co. cited rising labor and energy costs as primary reasons for the decision to cease operations.
