Canadian lumber exports to the United states rise in H1/2024
In the first half of 2024, Canada’s lumber exports to the United States rose by 3% compared to the same period last year. Export volume reached 14.7 million m3, while the value of these exports increased by 7% to $2.95 billion, according to new Statistics Canada data. The primary increase in export volume occurred during the first three months of the year, while the second quarter exhibited signs of stagnation.
