Metsäkonepalvelu MKP, which has grown into the largest logging company in the Nordic countries, is expanding its operations in Sweden when it announced that it will buy the logging company Sven Sjökvist Skogsavverking AB operating in Småland. Metsäkonepalvelu expanded its operations to Sweden in 2011, when it bought Dunbergs Skogsservice Ab from Eksö in southern Sweden and formed MKP Sverige AB from it. The acquisition was the fourth in Sweden after the acquisition of Dunberg.
