Mood in the German industry further brightens, pessimism continues in the sawmill segment
In February 2023, the mood in large parts of the German timber industry improved further. The Main Association of the German Timber Industry (HDH) business cycle indicator calculated by the Munich-based Ifo Institute increased for the third month in a row. The companies assessed their current business situation noticeably more positively than in the previous month. The pessimism with regard to the coming months also eased noticeably.
