The 20 largest European sawmills are expected to produce 5% lumber more this year.  The wood industry giant Stora Enso remains number 1 in Europe. The Finnish company with strong central European sawmills is estimated with a production of 5.6 million m3 this year . That would be 1% less than in 2021. The decline is due to the shutdown of the two Russian sawmills at the beginning of March.
