Roseburg Forest Products announced on Thursday, July 1st, 2021, that it intends to build a new high-capacity lumber mill in the town of Weldon, Halifax County, North Carolina.  Construction of the state-of-the-art sawmill is scheduled to begin in Q1 of 2022, with startup scheduled for later in the year.
